Limits and credits
Each new scan pulls live chain data, so new scans are limited. Opening a token someone has already scanned is free and doesn't count.
Hourly limits
| Tier | How to get it | New scans an hour |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Just visit | 3 |
| Account | Connect a wallet | 10 |
| Token holder | Hold the Ghostprint token. Threshold announced soon | Higher |
Free scans also have a shared ceiling per network address, and an overall one that protects capacity for everyone. When free capacity is full, scan credits still work.
Scan credits
Credits let you keep going after your hourly limit runs out. One credit covers one new scan.
- They never expire.
- They're only used after your hourly limit is spent.
- A scan that fails gives its credit back.
- They belong to your account and work on the website and with every API key.
Burning the token for credits
Burning opens once the token's address and price are published here.
- Choose how many scans you want. Ghostprint builds the burn transaction.
- Your wallet shows it. Nothing happens until you approve.
- Ghostprint checks the finalized transaction on-chain, then adds your credits. This usually takes under a minute.
A burn is permanent. The tokens are destroyed and can't be refunded. Credits are worked out from what was actually burned, rounded down to whole scans, so don't burn outside the account page unless you know the exact amount.
If you close the page before credits appear, they aren't lost. Come back to your account, or paste the transaction signature into the claim box. Each burn can only be credited once, to the wallet that made it.
API limits
Each key can make 120 requests a minute. Starting a new scan through the API also uses your account's hourly limit and credits, the same as on the website.
